A golden thread of creativity unites artisans worldwide, transcending time and culture. Ancestral crafts echo modern artistry, revealing unexpected connections between seemingly unrelated objects.
The humble palm tree serves as a link between Congo’s Kuba Cloth and Morocco’s Tamegroute ceramics. In the Congo, palm leaves are woven into striking geometric cloth, while in Morocco, palm leaves are utilized to fire clay pots, resulting in distinctive finished. Tam Tam Muse unites these two crafts, highlighting their hidden connection to each other and the earth.

Each print is crafted through a process whereby water-based ink is applied to a linoleum surface by hand. Rice paper is then carefully pressed onto the inked surface to transfer the design onto the paper. Due to the handmade nature of this process, each print exhibits a natural variability that adds to its uniqueness.
While all prints originate from a master linoleum cut, this variability ensures that every piece is akin to an original artwork. Please anticipate a 5-7% difference in ink coverage and opacity between individual prints.
MATERIALS AND PAPER
STILL LIFE FROM HOME print range is printed on delicate, transparent rice paper. Made from organic fibres, rice paper retains a natural, irregular edge that reflects its organic production process. Please handle with care and ensure hands are clean when touching the prints, as the paper is susceptible to damage.
COLOURS
As the water-based ink colours are mixed up specifically for each print run, please expect a variance of 5-7% from the catalogue image and previous print orders.
FRAMES
When opting for a framed print, please note that our frames are crafted from sustainably sourced wood and include a glass insert to protect the print. Upon receiving your framed artwork, we kindly ask that you handle it with care. Each frame is carefully wrapped and labelled as fragile before shipping.
